Tanya Reignites her Creativity
In the busy town in North Carolina, Tanya was moving about with preparations for Christmas. At 36, she was a dedicated mother of four, always striving to make every holiday magical for her children. This Christmas was no different; she wanted to fill their hearts with joy and wonder.
As she hung the stockings and decorated the tree, Tanya’s mind drifted back to her childhood in New Jersey. A memory from 30 years ago when she was a bright and imaginative 6-year-old. Back then, Tanya lived with her family and two younger siblings. She was always full of creative ideas, crafting short stories and sharing them with whoever would listen. Her tales were filled with magic, adventure, and heartwarming life lessons.
As Tanya grew older, the pressures of growing up and the responsibilities of life caused her to drift away from her storytelling. I even had lost track of her… for nearly 15 years after she became a teenager. During those years, Tanya got married, had four wonderful children, and her sole focus became being a mother. But I never forgot the little girl with more than a spark of storytelling.
One magical evening last Fall, as she hung decorations for Halloween, Tanya had a vivid memory… Like Deja vu. In this dreamlike sequence, she remembered her 14-year-old self, hanging Halloween decorations, full of stories, ambition, and visions of becoming an author. That dream had been tucked away, forgotten amidst the demands of everyday life.
You ever have Déjà vu, That feeling… that you have already lived through the present situation. It’s sometimes in those moments where your past dreams are trying to resurface. Trying to find something to reignite your imagination.
That evening, Tanya remembered her passion. She quickly told her husband, James. “When I was a kid, I knew this was what I was meant to do.”
She felt a surge of inspiration and a renewed sense of purpose. That October night, by the warm glow of the fire, Tanya began to write once more, her heart brimming with the same joy and wonder she felt as a child.
From that day on, her imagination was erupting with ideas, her true passion was flowing once again. Now everyday she feels a bit of nostalgia for the stories she wants to create.
She now has a leather-bound notebook overflowing with future creations. With her newfound inspiration, she brainstorms in the morning and finds time to write in the evening. Writing her stories not only brings joy to Tanya, but I can see they will spread like wild fire in the future.
I can already see her on Christmas morning, Tanya’s children woke to find their mother happily scribbling away. They gathered around her, as she shared her newest of stories that she created. A touching tale about remembering your life’s passion through thick and thin. The magic of Christmas will fill their home, not just through the gifts and decorations, but through the power of imagination and the joy of storytelling.
Tanya’s journey had not been a straight path, but she had found her way back to her true self. She realized it was okay to get lost along the way… as long as you never forgot who she truly was.
Over the next year, Tanya fulfilled her dream and worked tirelessly on her writing. If you asked her, she would tell you it took her 20 years to complete her first book, but the moment it was published, she knew it was all worth it. Her first novel, a 400-page romance, was a testament to determination. Now, with two more novels in the works, Tanya’s confidence was soaring.
Looking into her children’s eyes, Tanya told them, “You can do anything you want in life. It just takes hard work and believing in yourself.” She inspired them with her own journey, showing them that dreams might take time but are always within reach.
I have a special idea for Tanya this year. She’s now writing so I will write to her. Sometimes words need to be written down, because they may have the opportunity to be spoken.
“Dear Tanya, I’ve so missed your stories. I am so proud of you. The world needs your creativity and magic will flow through your words. You can help other people find their imagination through your words. Your stories and tales will multiply through your children and beyond. Keep it up… With love, Santa”
Ill keep my eye on Tanya and her family. It’s touching to know anyone can find their way back to the magic they once knew. You have to be ready to pass it on to the next generation.
